Merry Christmas!

Our bishop dressed up as Santa at the ward Christmas party. She just stared and stared, but no cries! Gotta love her "thoughtfulness" as Grandpa Vance calls it.

Cute new Christmas sweater from Grandma Fay. Even though she is so sick, she didn't seem to mind hammin' it up for everyone at church.

First Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Traditions...

Nothing like a home cooked Thanksgiving meal at the Gabbarts. The Smith's join us every year for the meal and music. The following day there is always the annual Christmas tree hunt followed by a gathering at the Smith's home. The little baby boy is Butch and Emily's newest addition, Zach. Isn't he adorable?! (The table decorations are courtesy of Katie...gorgeous!)

Happy Thanksgiving

This is a tradition that I love. Vance loves fiddle music, so when we go home to Reno, we play and play. This year I brought some holiday music. Vance was nice enough to put away the fiddle music for a while and humor me with some Gesu Bambino. It was so fun.

Favorite time of the day is definitely bathtime. Emma came down with a cold, so we used some Johnson and Johnson vapor bath to help clear her up, but it made quite the bubble bath. She seemed to love it.

Ohio Trip

My mom and I went out to visit James and Lisa in Ohio this past month. We only had a couple of days to play because Dr. Jacobs so kindly took my wisdom teeth out for me. I decided not to post those pictures, they aren't exactly beautiful. James and Lis are doing well and their little boy Tyler is full of energy. He and Emma had lots of fun playing together. Tyler, Emma and I spent lots of time in the back seat of the car together. He would always want to sing "The Wheels on the Bus." Unfortunately, now I'm pretty sure I am known as Aunt Bus, instead of Aunt Amy. I can't believe how hard James is working, it's unreal the hours residents have to put in. The nice thing is he'll be done in a year and half. Thanks so much for taking care of me!

Grandpa's House

Yesterday Sarah, Mom and I ran out to Grandpa's to wish him a Happy Halloween. He is 91 and so with it.
It was so much fun to have lunch and visit.

Halloween Party

It was so fun this Halloween because we got to dress up a couple of times, once for our Halloween party and another for the ward party last night. We went as a theme last night, a witch, a cat and a broomstick. The look on Emma's face in the picture of Aaron holding her at the ward party is hilarious. Talk about an attitude..she lets you know exactly what she's thinking!

I forgot we took these pictures a couple months ago. This is a dress Aaron picked out for her when we first found out we were having a girl. Why did he choose it... because it feels like a parka ski jacket! She absolutely loved pulling on the material, which most of the time at church made her a little immodest. She's definitely grown since these pics.
