Spring break fun

Last week of march the three 'big girls' as I call them, started their spring break. I filled it up as much as possible, considering there are two absolutely constantly curious toddlers in tow.   There isn't anything in their tracks that's safe.  We started it off with some deep Saturday cleaning;).or should I say I, kids were not as enthused.  It was a cold rainy day anyway;). Monday the girls and I headed down to the museum of curiosity.  Emma Mia are so independent these days.  They keep themselves plenty entertained, it's so fun to see them grow up and build a sister bond.  Annie is still my buddy at my side, loving to dress up, play pretend and slug around in her croc boots in the water part of the museum.  She is also a great friend for the twins.  Always sticking up for them and helping them climb onto whatever they'd like.  And the twins little big personalities r coming out.  They want to go and do, Mary more so than Hannah.  Mary was like a bee to nectar in the water part.  Drinking and splashing all she could.  Hannah enjoyed the climbing and sliding down all sorts of toys.  We opted for lunch at the museum afterwards and then drove home in a massive rainstorm.  After hydroplaning one too many times on the freeway, my silent prayer of gratitude on our safe arrival home was very heartfelt!  Apparently the freeway the other direction closed for 5 hours because of a fatal accident.
Monday afternoon was downtime and piano for Emma.  Tuesday rolled around with an outing to the zoo late afternoon.  We met up with mom, which is always so nice because then no one really gets left out when you have two sets of hands.  It started off a little cold, but as much as those kids move around, no one seemed to mind except me.  Watching the kids excitement for the same animals each time is hilarious.  They loved the seals and otters and climbing on the new playground.  It's so fun as a mother for me to sit here and picture their faces in each of these experiences as I try and record it.  They truly are such amazing children.  Each with Their own divine gifts.  I'm just trying to provide them with opportunities to find themselves and let it grow.  Anyway, finished the night off with dinner at pizza studio where they can each choose their own pizza.  My girls can eat;).  Speaking of differences among them, just take a look at their pizzas and you'll see right away.  Annie had a night with nana to yogurt and shopping for her birthday afterwards.  And the other two girls played outside til 7ish, so when Aaron got home from work it was just the babes and I.  Piece of cake! Having twins first is the  way to do it.
After too much fixer upper, the girls played soccer in the dark til late with Aaron.  Then finally got everyone to bed by 10.  I'm not cut out for these later nights with kids and early mornings with babies. Wednesday we headed down to Provo to take uncle Ike out for lunch.  How the girls adore him!!! He is so much fun to be around.  He treated them to ice cream at the creamery and lots of treats to take with them on their trip to st George the next day.  That kid is going places
St George was so much fun.  So Nice to get a break from everything.  We had to stay constantly on the go to prevent the twins from destroying all of aunt Nanette's condo    They're the biggest monkeys I've ever seen. I've never had kids scale the playground with such ease at this age.  They climb on tables counters toy kitchens chairs etc.  makes for constant vigilance. Big girls had a ball riding their bikes around, playing games, swimming 3 times a day and eating aunt Nanette's fruit snacks. Emma would usually wake up first and get us all out the door by 8, so never seemed to run into the crowds.  My favorite part was watching all 5 girls create the very first steps at the sand dunes after a rain storm. Wish I could have a picture of the most adorable footprints spreading far and wide over the rolling sand dunes.  We did the normal, red rocks sand dunes and biking then found a new amazing train park equipped with its own locomotive and the kindest most fitting conductor you'd ever seen. .  Regretfully we didn't make it to see uncle Lynn and aunt Jana, but I honestly have no idea how I could have even had a conversation longer than a few minutes with them because these twins are so constant.  Once we came home from st George I realized how much we all needed that little break together.  We've been in the thick of it for so long now, well over 2 years.  So nice to get away from it all and just be with one another.  In fact, even the girls said it's so nice to go outside  and  be with just us.
