Vance purchased a croquet set while we there and none of us could get enough of it. The first night we had a casual teams match, which Vance led us to victory on. Then the next night, Vance had his rulebook in hand and the idea of a casual, recreational activity, turned into survival of the fittest. For those not up to date with the latest rules of croquet, there's one rule where if you bump another person's ball, you can set yours next to their ball, hold yours with your foot and give it a whack...thus in the case of this game, sending you ball far far away in the bushes! Let's just say this happened too many times to remember. Who knows why, but it ended up being all of us against Vance. Bottom line is, nothing is recreational, it's always a competition and that's what makes it fun.
